The O’pen Bic Class Association is looking for organisers of championships in 2020 and 2021.

The O’pen Bic Class Association works with Local Organising Authorities and the boat manufacturer to organise championships high standard events.

The following international Class Championships are organised once a year:

  • World Championships (WOC) including the Team Race World Championship (TRW)
  • European Championships (EOC) or Zone Championship (COC)
  • Eurochallenge Circuit, based from 3 international regattas with a final score (ECC)

For World Championships or European Championships or Eurochallenge Circuit the organization of each Championship is allocated by the Executive Committee to an Organising Authority (or LOA) according to bids received.

This should be sent to the Class Secretary at secretary@openskiff.org.

Within the following deadlines:

18.01.2019 for the Open Bic World Championships 2020

30.05.2019 for the Open Bic World Championships 2021 and other OBCA 2020 and 2021 events indicated above.

Bids for the 2020 World Championships may be presented at the Open Class Meeting in New Zealand on the 3rdof January 2019. This is not obligatory, and the bids will not be voted at the meeting.

The 2020 World Championships host will be chosen by the Executive Committee and will be announced by the end of January 2019.
