The Open Skiff Class Association is excited to announce that we are seeking hosts for the 2025 European Championship. We invite interested parties to submit their proposals to organize this prestigious event. As the host, you will have the opportunity to showcase your sailing venue, promote the sport of sailing, and contribute to the development of young sailors from across Europe.
To ensure the success of the 2025 European Championship, we kindly request that you consider scheduling the event at a time that does not clash with the World Championships. The World Championships are already scheduled to take place in July 2025, and it is important that young sailors from Europe have ample opportunity to participate in both events without conflicts.
As a potential host, you will have the responsibility of providing a suitable venue that meets the requirements of the Open Skiff Class Association. The venue should have the necessary infrastructure to accommodate the participants and support the smooth conduct of the championship. Additionally, it should offer a challenging and fair sailing environment that will truly test the skills of the young sailors.
If you are interested in hosting the 2025 European Championship, please prepare a detailed proposal outlining your proposed dates, venue information, accommodation options, event facilities, and any other pertinent details through filling in the attached bid application form.
All proposals should be submitted to our association no later than September 1st 2023. Our Executive Committee will carefully review each proposal and assess its suitability based on the criteria outlined above. We will announce the selected host for the 2025 European Championship shortly thereafter.
