In 2008, Tom Laperche was only 11 years old when he won the first O’pen Bic World Championship in the U12 category. This world title is only the first in a long series and the kick-off to a busy sporting career! After numerous victories in the world of ocean racing and an engineering diploma in hand, we find him today at 26 at the helm of SVR Lazartigue, one of the giant foil trimarans entered in the Arkea Ultim Challenge race. The single-handed world tour open to Ultim 32 mx 23 class trimarans brings together the best skippers and the fastest boats on the planet. This exceptional trajectory began at the helm of the O’pen BIC in Quiberon Bay and we are very proud of it!
