Following the previously announced postponement, the O’pen Skiff Class Association will hold its 2026 General Assembly online on Thursday, 5 November 2026 at 09:00 CET (08:00 UTC), following the Team World Championships taking place from 30 October to 1 November.

Joining details will be circulated to members.

Nominations and member submissions received for the originally scheduled July meeting will be carried forward. The full agenda and proposal received are included in this email.

The candidate list and submissions will be published on the class website on 22 October 2026. The voting procedure will also be sent to members on that date, explaining voting eligibility, ballot access, election rounds and voting deadlines.

Full Members must submit their official representative’s details to the Executive Committee by 1 November 2026, by email to secretary@openskiff.org. Any proxy authorisation should accompany those details.

4. Presentation and acceptance of the annual accounts.
5. Proposed subscription fees for 2027.

Attachment 1 – Proposed Amendment to Class Rule C.9.2(c)

Proposal: Delete the final sentence of Rule C.9.2(c): “Only one panel can be replaced.”

Reason: To allow more than one damaged sail panel to be replaced, subject to Rule C.9.2(b).

Proposed amended wording:

(c) For repairs of rips in the monofilm material, an adhesive patch will be used to repair the sail where the rip is less than 10 cm long. For damage covering a greater area, the whole panel may be replaced in accordance with Rule C.9.2(b).
